| National Children's Museum |
Our “story” is being highlighted at the National Children's Museums Launch Zone, a temporary space for testing exhibits and programs. The Museum created an exhibit prototype around the idea of taking action to make a difference. Our story is one of several real kid examples the Museum shares with visitors on how kids are making a difference in the community. We hope to be part of the permanent exhibit when the new museum opens in 2012

| Some exciting events we were able to participate in 1) in DC at the White House on the lawn where President Bush gave a great speech on the importance of service. This speech was given around the Sept 11th commemoration and the introduction of the service bill 2) The second event was in NYC at Columbia and then downtown. It was called the Service Nation Summit. This was a coming together of politicians, academicians, business leaders and NGO leaders. We were 2 of 100 Young Leaders (under 30) to represent the next generation. The impetus of this event is was a bi-partisan service bill sponsored by Sens Ted Kennedy and Orrin Hatch. The event started with Sens Obama and McCain speaking about our nations' commitment to service. Other speakers were Sens Clinton, Gov Shwarzenegger, Gov Patterson, Mayor Bloomberg, the presidents of Columbia, Georgetown, Yale, the CEO of Time etc, etc. You can see some of these people on the pics.

Both the Elmwood Park Zoo and the Philadelphia Zoo had Parties for the Planet Earth Day weekend. We went and talked to kids and adults about bees and the importance of pollinators. We brought our observation hive which was a huge hit. In two days, we spoke to more than 1,000 people.
